An election to fill two seats on the Sioux Falls School Board will be held Tuesday, May 21.

The seats currently held by Kent Alberty and Carly Reiter expire in June. Reiter is seeking reelection and is joined in the race by Sarah K. Anderson, Nan Baker and Lora Hubbel.
Alberty is not seeking reelection. He has served four terms, for a total of 12 years, on the school board and was elected as President of the Board six times.
In order to vote, you must live within the boundaries of the Sioux Falls School District and have registered by May 6.
Thirteen vote centers around the city will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on May 21. Absentee ballots will be available at the Instructional Planning Center (201 E. 38th Street) beginning May 6 through May 21 from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will host a public Candidate Forum on Thursday, May 16 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Instructional Planning Center.
