Recognition of Chamber Volunteers
The Ambassador Committee promotes the Chamber and assists in bringing new members into the organization. The Diplomat Committee works to maintain membership strength in the Chamber and provide outstanding customer service to members. Their volunteer service helps keep the Chamber strong.
Featured Ambassadors and Diplomats this month are: Jay Soukup, Great Western Bank, six years as an ambassador; Marilyn Moser, LifeVantage, first year as an ambassador; Carrie Dragt, American Cancer Society, seven years as a diplomat; Sandy Case, 28 years as a diplomat; Cole Robbins, U.S. Bank, two years as a diplomat; and Elizabeth Soukup, Augustana University, one year as a diplomat.
The Ace Award is given monthly to one Ambassador in recognition of their sales efforts. April Meyerink, Black Hills Federal Credit Union, was the September Ace award winner.
Diplomats who complete all their member contact calls each month are part of the 100 Club. One member of the 100 Club is recognized as the Service Star. The September Service Star was awarded to Debra Peterson, CorTrust Bank. Event champion honors went to Pat Grieben, HUB International.
Diplomat Team of the Month for September went to Captain Cindi Johnson, Range Printing; Sandy Case; Brian Spader, New York Life; Angie Wahl, J. Wahl Home Inspection; and Pam Olinger, ELO CPAs & Advisors.
Kristin Hoefert-Redlinger, Northwestern Mutual, received the Voice of YPN Award for 2019. The award recognizes a YPN Steering Committee member who actively represents YPN in the community and to Chamber membership.
Dave Rozenboom, First PREMIER Bank, received the Spirit of DeWald Award. This award recognizes an individual who has achieved professional distinction and made significant community service contributions both locally and statewide. To be considered, a person must be a Chamber member, assist the Chamber in reaching its goals, be involved in other community, professional or charitable organizations, and present a positive attitude and professional image on behalf of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
New Faces & Promotions
Kassidi Smith joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire as the Early Learning Program Director at the 14th Street and Eastside Learning Center locations. She will serve in the same role when both learning centers combine and relocate to the Empower Campus at the former School for the Deaf campus this winter. Kiley Metz also joined BGCSE as the Community Relations and Volunteer Coordinator.
Preston Meline has joined Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union as executive vice president of strategy and service.
TSP, Inc. has hired Ed Lund as a project manager and quality control/quality assurance specialist in their Sioux Falls office. Lund is a well-respected construction-services professional with nearly 45 years in the industry.
