CVB's Schmidt is honored with two achievement awards
Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) Executive Director Teri Schmidt is receiving recognition from peers as a leader in her community and industry.
Schmidt was presented with the Ben Black Elk Award during the 2020 Governor's Conference on Tourism in January. The award is given in recognition of lifetime achievement in tourism and honors an individual who makes outstanding contributions to the South Dakota's visitor industry. It was presented to Schmidt by Governor Kristi Noem and the South Dakota Department of Tourism Secretary Jim Hagen.
"Teri's accomplishments are truly incredible and inspiring," said Governor Noem. "She is one of a kind, and the Sioux Falls community and South Dakota are blessed to have her."
