Leadership Sioux Falls seeks dynamic citizens
for 25th class

As the Sioux Falls area grows and the community becomes more complex and demanding, there is an increasing need to identify and train responsible and informed leaders.

Since its inception in 1986, the Leadership Sioux Falls program, sponsored by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, has been a great way to meet this need. About to begin its 25th year, Leadership Sioux Falls provides an opportunity for current and future leaders to gain insight into the issues, opportunities, strengths and challenges within the Sioux Falls area. It is a great source of information about our community.

Leadership Sioux Falls includes eight engaging and community-based sessions over an eight-month period starting in October. Monthly sessions focus on the community's history, government, education, law enforcement, the arts, diversity, health care, human services, area growth and economic development, leadership skills plus a variety of tours and site visits through the unique enhancement sessions. The program concludes with a graduation event in May. The Leadership Sioux Falls-25 schedule of sessions can be found at www.siouxfallschamber.com.

The Leadership Sioux Falls program has traditionally been an avenue for the development of community leaders. The program offers participants a collaborative forum in understanding the facets of our community and the services provided to its citizens. The program objectives include: educate and familiarize participants with the Sioux Falls community, and the issues and opportunities facing the area; develop a renewed sense of enthusiasm and "can do" attitude in the community; meet and interact with current community leaders and experts; build strong business and personal networks utilized beyond the program; train in community and leadership/management styles through group interaction; and expose participants to volunteer and service opportunities.

Be one of the dynamic citizens selected to participate in Leadership Sioux Falls-25. With more than 700 graduates from virtually every private and public sector organization as well as citizens-at-large in the Sioux Falls area, Leadership Sioux Falls offers participants access to an extraordinary network of area leaders and a unique opportunity to strengthen leadership skills.
