Dean Karsky, Farmers Insurance Group/Karsky Agency, and Ryan Welsh, KSFY Television, were the Ambassador Team of the Year. Together they sold 42.5 new Chamber memberships during the 2008-2009 year. Mike Hauck, NAI Sioux Falls, and Mark McClung, Active Data Systems, Inc., placed second with 24.25 new members, followed by Lynda Billars, The Lynda B. Advantage/the Real Estate Company, and Jeff Ducheneaux, MetaBank, in third place with 16 new members.

Tammy Beintema, MSH Architects (Miller Sellers Heroux Architects, Inc.), took second place honors and Karen Noonan, Carriernet Group Financial, Inc., took third place honors. The winner of the Diplomat Reinvestment Blitz was Doug Erickson, Key Staffing. The September Diplomat Team of the Month includes: Captain Jack Dyvig, Sioux Falls Morning Optimists Club; Julie Nelson, Great Western Bank; Jill Melchert, Farmers Insurance Group-Jill Melchert Agency; Wendy Bergan, YMCA; and Janel Cole, Postnet SD 103.

HONORS AND AWARDS
In a recent Performance Evaluation Survey conducted by Dun & Bradstreet, Employment Edge of Sioux Falls rated in the 93rd percentile among 7,361 employment agencies nationwide. The survey covered areas in reliability, cost, quality, business relations, customer support and responsiveness.

GOOD DEEDS
More than 150 Meta employees volunteered in the Sioux Falls area the week of Oct. 19, supporting 14 different organizations doing everything from serving the elderly to carving pumpkins for the Zoo Boo event at the Great Plains Zoo. Meta's Community Involvement Week, organized in partnership with Volunteer HELP! Line involved volunteer efforts at 14 locations in the Sioux Falls region, providing assistance to more than 33,000 people and 200 animals in 800 volunteer hours.

Thomas W. Theobald is celebrating his 35th anniversary as a Financial Representative of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Theobald joined Northwestern Mutual in 1974 as a Financial Representative. He has earned multiple company awards and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter designation.Â

NEW FACES & pROMOTIONS
Ashleigh Walton joined Insight Marketing Design as Office Manager/Client Service Assistant. Walton's responsibilities include bookkeeping, office management, administrative assistance and coordination, along with assisting client service executives. Walton is a South Dakota State University graduate with a degree in Journalism; previously she worked at the Sioux Falls Storm. In addition, Mel Peterson was promoted to Senior Client Service Executive. Peterson has been with Insight for three years. A graduate of Augustana College, Peterson has worked at national advertising agency Fallon in both Boston and Minneapolis, and at Arnold in Boston, on brands such as Volkswagen and Ocean Spray.
Tom Alton is the new Business Development Director for Bell, Inc. Alton previously served at Altivity Packaging for 15 years and continued in a transition role when it merged with Graphic Packaging International. He holds a bachelors' degree in business administration from Iowa State University and a master's in business administration from Georgia State University.
