Leadership Sioux Falls begins 23rd year

The 23rd year of the Leadership Sioux Falls program will hold its opening session on Oct. 8. The day-long session will focus on how growth and development happen in the Sioux Falls community and will include tours of Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County. Class members will take part in several networking activities also review a timeline of Sioux Falls since 1950.

Leadership Sioux Falls is an eight-month innovative program designed to meet the community's need for active participation of informed and dedicated community leaders. The goal of the program, which is sponsored by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, is to inform, challenge and motivate participants by providing information on community resources; by identifying community concerns; by interacting with community leaders; and by building a sense of community trusteeship.

The Leadership Sioux Falls Executive Committee announced selections to this year's class from 64 applications received. Due to the nature of the program, class size is limited to 30 participants each year.
