Leadership Sioux Falls begins 24th year
By Kate Foley
Small Business & Leadership Development Manager
The 24th annual class of the successful Chamber-sponsored Leadership Sioux Falls program begins Oct. 7 with an all-day session focusing on how growth and development happen in the Sioux Falls area. Following the development of a timeline and discussion on the history of Sioux Falls, the group will participate in a discussion on Minnehaha County including its funding and scope of responsibilities. Later in the day, the group will board a bus for a tour of the city.
Leadership Sioux Falls is an eight-month program designed to inform, challenge and motivate its participants by providing information on community resources; identify community issues and priorities; interact with community leaders; and build a sense of community trusteeship. The program has been sponsored by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce since its inception in 1986.
The Leadership Sioux Falls Executive Committee announced selections to this year's class from more than 80 applications received. Congratulations to the members of the 24th Class of Leadership Sioux Falls:
