City Council candidate forums tomorrow |

The Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Young Professionals Network and the League of Women Voters are co-sponsoring two forums for the four open Sioux Falls City Council seats this Saturday. Registered voters will have the chance to vote for Sioux Falls School Board, Sioux Falls City Council and Sioux Falls Mayor at the April 13 election.
Five candidates are seeking the At-Large Seat A seat and two candidates are seeking the At-Large Seat B seat; their forum will be held jointly from 9-10:30 a.m. at Carnegie Town Hall (235 W. 10th St.) Three candidates are seeking the Southeast District seat and four candidates are seeking the Central District seat; their forum will be held jointly from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., also at Carnegie Town Hall.
The candidate forums are free and open to the public and are meant to educate local voters on candidates seeking public office. Closed captioning or interpreters provided by Communication Services for the Deaf will be available for the hearing impaired. Individuals needing assistance, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, should call 605.336.1620 in advance of the event to make any necessary arrangements.
Upcoming forums: Sioux Falls School Board: Thursday, April 1 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Instructional Planning Center (201 E. 38th St.).

The School Board Candidate Forum will be broadcast live on KLRN (cable channel 20) at the following dates and times: at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on April 5, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12; and at 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 13. |
