Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce members will have the opportunity to learn more about economic development, the April 10 election and to hear from South Dakota's Commissioner of Economic Development Pat Costello at the Wednesday, April 4 Good Morning Sioux Falls program.
Good Morning Sioux Falls will be held in Ballroom B at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. The program begins at 7 a.m. and is expected to conclude by 8:30 a.m. Paige Pearson, KSFY Television News Anchor, will serve as the host and moderator for the morning mixer. About 200 people are expected to attend.
The program includes:
- Pearson will lead a discussion about downtown economic development projects with City Community Development Director Darrin Smith, City Public Works Director Mark Cotter and CEO of Lloyd Companies Craig Lloyd. This segment will discuss changes to the city's skyline and new developments and investments being made in the city's core.
- South Dakota's Commissioner of Economic Development Pat Costello will give an update on the big projects happening in South Dakota, an overview of the state's economic development efforts and legislative activity that affects economic development in Sioux Falls and statewide.
- Candidates appearing on the April 10 ballot -- 10 City Council and four School District -- will be introduced, as well as new CEOs and managers in the community. Bev Chase from the Sioux Falls School District will also talk about the new voting centers being used in the April 10 election.
