Second legislative coffee this Saturday

The second legislative coffee with Sioux Falls area legislators will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Holiday Inn City Centre Starlite Room (100 W. 8th St.).

 

The Legislative Coffee begins at 10 a.m. and includes Sioux Falls area legislators from districts 9, 11 and 12. State lawmakers will discuss important issues currently before the South Dakota Legislature and answer questions from the public submitted through a moderator. The event is expected to conclude by 11:30 a.m.

 

The Sioux Falls legislative delegation is divided into two groups using geography as the divisor. The “West Legislative Group” includes districts 9, 11 and 12; the “East Legislative Group” includes districts 13, 14 and 15. Each group will meet twice at the Holiday Inn City Centre during the session.

 

Details of this year’s coffees are as follows:

 

East Group (districts 13, 14, & 15): Jan. 30, Feb. 20
West Group (districts 9, 11 & 12): Feb. 13, Feb. 27

Location: Holiday Inn City Centre (100 W. 8th St.)

Time: 10-11:30 a.m.

 

These legislative forums are sponsored by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, AARP South Dakota, American Association of University Women, Business and Professional Women, Hy-Vee, the League of Women Voters, the Minnehaha County Democrats, the Minnehaha County Republicans, the National Women's Political Caucus, and the Sioux Falls Education Association.
