Local military, community to be recognized
at armed forces covenant Sept. 19

Mayor Dave Munson invites the public to attend the Sioux Falls Area Armed Forces Community Covenant on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena (1201 N. West Ave.)

The covenant is designed to formally recognize the strength of the relationship between service members, veterans, their families and the community of Sioux Falls. The men and women who serve America also live in the Sioux Falls area as friends and neighbors and deserve to be recognized as hometown heroes.

This event will also welcome home the 2nd of the 361st Training Support Battalion, U.S. Army Reserve, for their recent mobilization in support of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. For more information, contact Amy M. Farr at 373.2013.
